Prayer:

Common prayer is conducted early morning from 6.00 a.m. to 6.30 a.m. daily

 

Shramadhan

Each day  trainees of one particular class are doing voluntary cleaning  of the places by adopting the norms of social service called ‘Shramadhanam’  to inculcate the idea of gifting the physical labour to keep our premises clean. The maintenance of the pedestal path for the morning walk to a circular stretch of 800 meters  within the premises of the institute  is quite good an example to this social service activity by the trainees.    All the trainees are undertaking mandatory 15 minutes morning walk on the walking path inside the Institute before going   to open ground exercise every day.  

Mess:

Mess is run by dividing system from the advance collected from the trainees.

Sports and Games:

Physical Training is conducted from 6.30 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. on all working days.  The institute has a big play ground and sufficient playing materials are provided for  games at the choice of the trainees in the evening from 5.30 p.m.

 

Gym

 The Institute is equipped with  a GYM with preliminary equipments worth about  Rs.44000/- for men and women trainees encouraging them to play all kinds of outdoor games  and indoor games. Tournaments  for trainees is conducted for every batch at the end of training programme.  And prizes distributed.     

Cultural Activities:

To culling out the talents of the trainees, cultural and  literary activities are also conducted. Certificates and prizes are distributed at the end of training.

Uniform  to   Trainees (for Junior Assistants/Assistants)  

           While playing, trainees  are requested to wear Uniform during the physical training and  games.   From the commencement of training in this Institute, the uniform for the trainees   was  prescribed as follows.  

Ladies:    1. Dark Green  colour Saree.          -  2 Nos.

               2. White colour  Jocket                   -  2 Nos.

               3. White colour can wash shoes        -  1 set

               4. White colour Socks.                    -  1 set  

Gents:     1. KaKi  Colour Half Drawers.           -  2 Nos.

               2. White colour Sleewless Banians    -  2 Nos. 

               3. White colour can wash shoes       -  1 set

               4. White colour Socks.                     -  1 set  

           During 2006  it was represented by the trainees (both ladies and gents) that the uniform prescribed above was highly inconvenient to wear during drill and physical training hours. As per the suggestions and requisitions given by the trainees it was represented to  Director General of Training  and Director of Anna Institute of  Management,Chennai to permit the principal to change the Uniforms to trainees .  In  G.O.Ms.No. 44,Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Training .I) Department, dated 14.02.2007, the principal has empowered to change the Uniforms to trainees.  According to this the Uniform to Trainees has been changed  as follows.  

Both the Ladies and Gents the Uniform prescribed is as follows.

 

              1. Dark Blue  colour  Track Suit.            -  2 Nos.

              2. Dark Blue  colour  T-Shirt                  -  2 Nos.

              3. White colour can wash shoes             -  1 set

              4. Dark Blue colour colour Socks            -  1 set  

 Uniform to Deputy Tahsildar Trainees                                                                                     

     The following Uniform is prescribed for Deputy Tahsildar Trainees.  

              1. White  colour  Track Suit.                   -  1 No.

              2. White  colour  T-Shirt                         -  1 Nos.

              3. White colour can wash shoes             -  1 set

              4. White colour colour Sock                    -  1 set
